This week's bulletin is being prepared in advance, resulting in fewer items for this edition. But it also makes it a good time to check in regarding these weekly bulletins! The intent of the bulletins is to summarize the most important Rotary news and club items for your awareness, including bingo reminders and brief meeting summaries. It would be helpful to know whether these bulletins are of any help to you - so if you have a moment or two to jot any comments or feedback, that would be appreciated! And for any suggestions you have on how to improve them, those are welcome, too... they may not be implemented immediately, but I'm definitely holding onto them for consideration!
We have three bingos scheduled within the next four weeks:

Saturday, August 31, 4-6 pm: Gary and ONE VOLUNTEER NEEDED
Sunday, September 1, 4-6 pm: TWO VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
From just three bingos in June, we raised $4100 that we can apply to service projects! This will grow as we take on more bingos in the future. One of the components of our Spring Action Plan document was the inclusion of an "Elevator Pitch" - a brief, but powerful, summary of who we are, and why someone might want to join us! Below is the elevator pitch that we agreed upon as a club....
Rotary Cambridge Sunset members are people of action. We make a difference in our community and the world. We are leaders committed to helping people, and our motto is "service above self". We meet for dinner on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays to socialize, plan service projects, discuss local and international issues and hear interesting guest speakers. We contribute each year to local and international projects.
Briefly put – we are good people, doing good things for the community and the world.
Just a flag about our next meeting on Tuesday, August 13th.... this will be a club assembly meeting with a focus on goals for the year, business and budget items, and logistics for future meetings. Please plan to attend!
