Dean Fitzgerald speaks with Cambridge Rotary Sunset about tree ecology!
We had a great meeting this past Tuesday, May 14th, at the Galt Country Club! The highlight of the evening was our guest speaker, Dean Fitzgerald, Ph.D. , an environmental consultant since the 1990s and president of the Rotary Club of Cambridge North. Dean spoke about tree ecology and planting in Ontario, including the value that trees bring to our communities, considerations in selection, and ways to procure them for community projects. It was an important reminder of our shared responsibility to care for our environment - for our generation, and the seven generations that follow!
Our next meeting will be held on May 28th, and will feature Wayne Paddock, Executive Director of the Cambridge Shelter Corporation. We invite you to come check us out - just connect with us for more information!
